For this edition, we will carry out the technical checks directly in Erfoud, with the foreign crews and the quad/buggy.
Indeed, following the September 2021 edition and the closing of the borders, our vehicle, as well as that of a few other crews, is already in Morocco.
It is therefore by plane that we reach Morocco. Jeanette and I, as well as the Bumper team, meet in Marrakech where we pick up Titine, whom I then discover.
We then join Erfoud by road and will spend the next 2 days with the team and the other crews who have done the same.
I have wonderful memories of these few days spent together, where we took the opportunity to introduce the first-time participants to the desert and the vehicles.
This takes us in a good mood until March 21, the day of the technical checks.
After having conscientiously covered our vehicle with all our sponsors and support, we pass all the checkpoints without incident and obtain our sesame for the departure.
This time, we are there!
Tomorrow will be the start for the prologue, during which a somewhat special guest will make her entrance...
Before that, we choose to entrust our vests to a local designer to sew our vest backs which will allow us throughout our adventure to highlight the 3 associations that we support:
- Born Too Soon Association
- Gazelle Harambee Association
- Explore&Preserve Association
